Jack-in-the-pulpit, indian turnip (Arisaema triphyllum; ARUM FAMILY [Araceae]) 1-3' tall native perennial herb with a single inflorescence typically overtopped by 2 compound leaves of 3 leaflets each.  The "pulpit" has a striped green-and-purple canopy arching over the dense cluster of tiny flowers ("Jack").  Found in rich, moist woodland understories.  Flowers in late spring.  [123]
