white clover (Trifolium repens; BEAN FAMILY [Fabaceae]) Perennial with creeping, rooting stems, and without above-ground branching.  Flowers white or pale pink in a dense round head.  Leaflets 3, finely toothed.  Common in lawns, gardens, and fields; flowering from spring to fall.  Native of Eurasia.  [081]
