FACETS Seminar Program:
Complete the Seminar Application form to participate only in informational seminars. The deadline for application is October 25, 2004. Individuals will be notified by November 15, 2004.

Applications will be evaluated on the basis of:
1. Date and time of submission
2. Statement of intent: discuss relationship of your intentions for professional growth to grant foci
3. Agreement to attend all three seminars, and
4. Agreement to disseminate information to unit and provide a statement about dissemination

Individuals already participating in the FACETS Seminar Program are given $100 to spend on books and other supplies for enhancing their teaching. Deadlines for this form will be given at the first FACETS seminar.

FACETS Research Program:
Individuals who also wish to participate in the research program must complete Form 2 for Summer or Fall ’04 awards (contingent on participation in the Spring ‘04 seminars). The deadline for applications is March 7, 2005. Individuals will be notified by April 11, 2005.

Applications will be evaluated on the basis of:
1. Date and time of submission
2. Statement of intent: discuss relationship of your intentions for professional growth to grant foci
3. Congruence with FACETS objectives. Appropriate topics should relate to teaching excellence: understanding generational differences, investigation of new or alternate teaching techniques, altering teaching presentations, comprehensive revisions of existing syllabi or courses, new or integrated course development, research on the scholarship of teaching, methods of evaluating teaching interventions, revisions or creation of student activities or interactions, or investigations into newer theories, and the like.
