Acer saccharinum; silver maple [Sapindaceae]  Silver maple is typically found along river banks and flood plains, and is also commonly planted on residential sites as a fast-growing shade tree.  Flowers in very early spring, with fruits maturing before leaves are fully formed.  It grows to be a very large tree with flaking grayish bark; leaves with 5 deep lobes; reddish twigs and buds; and yellowish fall color.  [095]
