Vaccinium spp.; blueberry [Ericaceae]  Four species of small native shrubs bearing tasty blue berries in mid-to-late summer.  Clusters of small, white, 5-parted bell- or urn-shaped flowers in late spring and early summer.  Two species are found throughout much of the state in a wide range of habitats.  V. angustifolium is smaller (typically less than 12”) with finely toothed leaves.  V. myrtilloides grows somewhat taller and has thin, smooth-edged leaves with hairs on the lower surface.  [113]
