Claytonia virginica, C. caroliniana; spring-beauty [ Portulacaceae]  Small perennial herb with ½-¾" wide, pink or white flowers veined with darker pink.  Leaves 1-few, long and narrow.  Quite common in rich woodlands.  Flowers in early spring.  The two Wisconsin species differ primarily in leaf shape.  [108]
