polypody, rock-cap fern [Polypodiaceae]
Small
fern (to about 1') with firm, evergreen, pinnately lobed fronds.
Prominent naked, red-brown sori on
underside of frond.
Most
commonly found growing from rock crevices or on logs in damp, shady
places.
