spring-beauty (Claytonia spp.; PURSLANE FAMILY [ Portulacaceae]) Small, inconspicuous perennial herb with pink or white flowers veined with darker pink, ½-¾" wide.  Leaves 1-few, long and narrow.  Rich woodlands.  Flowers in early spring.  Two Wisconsin species differ primarily in leaf length and narrowness.  [060]
