Lobo Plonsky |

This page is a tribute to a great dog. I was truly lucky to have had Lobo. The thought for the image above came to me when I was jogging with my other dog (Shots) a few weeks after loosing lobo. I would estimate that in the 11 years Lobo and I had together, we ran a few thousand miles through the backwoods of Wisconsin. When you run this much with a dog, you are always keeping an eye on them and catch glimpses of them as they run through the woods with you. It was a cold sunset and Shots and I had run about 5 miles. I was tired and for a split second I thought I saw Lobo running through the woods near me. I had been having this experience a lot and found it upsetting since it just reminded me of the pain and loss. At that point I thought, his spirit is out here with me. Now when I get a glimpse of Lobo running through the woods, I smile & cherish it. The image was digitally created by combining a photo of Lobo standing on a nice sunny day with a snowy sunset photo of my backyard (property) where Lobo spent 9 of his 11 years. Come spring I will get a new puppy. At that time, I will climb the tree in the center of the photo above and let the wind scatter Lobo's ashes over the property.
