Final Exam - Physics 240
The final exam will be given as follows:
- You may prepare an 8½ × 11 sheet to use in the exam. You may write, laserprint, photocopy, or cut-and-paste anything you want on both sides of the sheet, whatever you feel will help you on the exam. I suggest you handwrite the sheet, because simply preparing such a sheet will force you to go over all the material of the semester, and writing concepts and equations by hand will help you to remember them better.
- The exam will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at 12:30pm in A210
- You may work on the exam for a full 120 minutes.
- The exam is worth 200 points and is about two-thirds cumulative. It is structured as follows:
- Part I: Fluids, oscillations, & waves (Chapters 14-17) 68 points
- True/False (7 questions, 14 points)
- Multiple Choice (7 questions, 21 points)
- Problems (3 questions, 33 points)
- Part II: Cumulative (Chapters 1-17) 132 points
- Multiple Choice (33 questions, 4 points each) Some of these questions require a calculation.
