Final Exam - Physics 100
The final exam will be given as follows:
- The exam will be held ONLINE on Thursday, August 19, 2021
- You may work on the exam for the full 120 minutes.
- You will need a calculator and a pen or pencil.
I will provide the necessary formulas and constants for the calculations, together with an optional answer sheet you can use for recording and scanning your handwritten work.
- The exam is worth 200 points and is about 66% cumulative. It is structured as follows:
- Part I: Energy Alternatives (Chapters 16-18) 68 points
- Free-response problems (4 questions, 42 points)
- True/False (6 questions, 6 points)
- Multiple Choice (10 questions, 20 points). One of these questions requires a calculation.
- Part II: Cumulative (Chapters 2-4, 6-14, 16-18) 132 points
- Multiple Choice (44 questions, 3 points each) Nine of these questions require a calculation.
- Questions cover only those topics previously covered in homework assignments and midterm exams.
The questions are distributed to about 3 questions per chapter.
