Asarum canadense; wild-ginger [Aristolochiaceae]  Low growing (2-8”) native perennial herb of rich woodlands.  Often found in colonies.  Usually 2 hairy leaves with heart- or kidney-shaped bases.  Reddish brown 3-parted flower in early spring, often hidden below leaves.  [027]
