Aromatic, rhizomatous, native perennial
to 40” tall with alternate, finely dissected, pinnately compound leaves.
Flower heads ¼” wide with 5 white-to-pinkish ray florets and a
similar number of disc florets; borne in flat branched clusters.
Blooms mid-summer into fall.
Common along roadsides, fields and disturbed sites.
The species and many cultivars grown as a garden flower.
