Campanula rotundifolia;
bluebell, bellflower, harebell
[Campanulaceae]
Native, perennial herb to 20”.
Branched inflorescence of pale blue, erect-to nodding,
bell-shaped flowers from mid-summer to fall.
Thin stems with broadly oval lower leaves and linear upper
leaves. Found throughout the
state in a variety of habitats, but most conspicuous in the poor soils
of beaches, cliffs and rock crevices.
