Linaria vulgaris; butter-and-eggs [Plantaginaceae]  1-3' tall perennial occurring in colonies from spreading rhizomes.  Racemes of 3/4" long snapdragon-like flowers with yellow spurs ("butter") and an orange palate ("eggs").  Leaves alternate, narrow, and numerous, ½-1½" long.  Flowers abundantly throughout the growing season on disturbed sites in sandy soil.  Eurasian native introduced as a garden flower.  [122]
