Tall
(50-100') evergreen tree.
Needles in bundles of 2, 4-6" long.
Twigs yellowish changing to
reddish-brown.
Mature bark forms irregular
diamond-shaped scaly plates.
Cones 1-2½" long and conical or ovoid.
Genetic uniformity and straight, rapid
plantation growth make this a very widely planted timber tree.
