The Wisconsin Lake Leader's Institute
Training Leaders to Take Care of Wisconsin's Lakes
The Lake Leaders Institute is designed to stretch the minds of people. We explore new ideas about lakes and the
management of the human use of lakes. The Institute also seeks to develop networks, to share experiences, and to encourage
participants to learn from each other. You will work and share with dedicated professionals. The core curriculum is delivered
every other year. Explore the above links to help decide if you or a friend would be a good candidate.

Crew 7 in the News!
At the December 12, 2011 State Capitol and Executive Residence Board meeting, the Board unanimously voted to
approve the project for a shoreland restoration at the Executive Residence!
Congratulations Crew 7 on the amazing mile stone in your on-going project!

Past Lake Leader Crews
Every other year, the Wisconsin Lake Leaders Institute forms a
new Lake Leader Crew. These Lake Leader Crews get
together three times over the year to hone both their scientific
and organizational skills to better protect and promote the
lakes of Wisconsin. Comprised of private citizens, lake related
professionals, and public servants, each Lake Leader Crew
becomes a close network of support and comaraderie that can last
a lifetime.
Advanced Lake Leaders
Between the years when new Wisconsin Lake Leaders Crews are being formed,
the Wisconsin Lake Leaders Institute holds "Advanced Lake Leaders". Open only to former Lake
Leader graduates, Advanced Lake Leaders is a chance to spend a couple days with fellow
Lake Leaders
focusing on a single participant-fueled, timely topic.
