Weekly discussion of course material and structured practice promoting a greater understanding of concepts. Facilitated by a peer tutor who has successfully completed the course. Groups start meeting during week three of the semester.
Weekly 50-minute sessions.
Attendance is flexible, although regular attendance is encouraged for greatest benefit.
Some group meetings are small (3-4 students), others are larger (up to 15 students).
Free for UWSP students (beginning Fall 2011).
There is no new enrollment in group tutoring during the last two weeks of the semester. Groups do not meet during finals week.
Meet one-on-one with a peer tutor who has successfully completed the course. All sessions are held in the Tutoring-Learning Center and focus on the individual academic needs of the student.

All other students pay $8.50 per session (minimum of 5 sessions required). Fee is billed to student account.

Content tutors are outstanding undergraduates recommended by UWSP faculty. Tutors help students understand course material, review for tests, and develop study skills. They bring experience, expertise and enthusiasm to group discussions and one-on-one tutoring.
