Passports and Visas

It is important that you apply for your passport now. If you have one already, be sure it is valid for at least 6 months after the date of your planned return to the States. Find out more about obtaining your passport and then visit the Department of State to get the official form.

Click here for information on how to obtain a passport through your local post office.

TWO PASSPORT PHOTOS are required with your passport application.  YOU MUST ALSO RETURN ADDITIONAL PASSPORT PHOTOS TO OUR OFFICE – SEE REQUIRED NUMBER OF PHOTOS ON PAGE TWO OF THE MEETING SCHEDULE BY CLICKING HERE.

Are you from a state other than Wisconsin or Minnesota?

If so, we have great news for you! UWSP has lowered the out-of-state surcharges to $250-500 for short-term programs and $1000 for semesters abroad -- that makes our trips some of the best bargains in study abroad anywhere!

Looking for scholarships to help pay for your trip?

International Programs  scholarships are available for all programs. These are given to UWSP students based on several factors, but merit, rather than need, is a hallmark for most of these scholarships. UWSP students are strongly encouraged to apply, and to apply early as many scholarships have application deadlines far in advance of the program dates.
