Minitab v14 - Nonparametric Statistics

The Minitab Worksheet is available. It contains the following data:

Using	Column	N	Comments
Cell Counts	TabC1	2	The 4 observed cell counts in tabular form.
	TabCol2	2
Raw Data	CatCode	74	Dummy codes for categories tried (1=3 or less, 2=4 to 6).
	FreqCode	74	Dummy codes for frequency of use (1=less than 3/week, 2=3+).

Chi Square - two variable (with observed cell counts)

Use the "Chi-Square Test..." command off of the "Stat, Tables" menu. That is:

That will take you to the following dialog box:

Type in the relevant "Columns containing the table:". The output would look like this:

Chi Square - two variable (with raw data)

Use the "Cross Tabulation..." command off of the "Stat, Tables" menu. That is:

That will take you to the following dialog box:

Type in (or double click on) the "Catagorical variables:" (one for the rows and one for the columns). Then click on the "Chi-Square..." button. You will then see this dialog box:

Check the boxes indicated and then press the "OK" button twice. You will give then see the following output:
