Final Exam - Physics 250
The final exam will be given as follows:
- You may prepare an 8-½ × 11 sheet to use in the exam.
You may write, laser print, photocopy, or paste
anything you want on both sides of the sheet, whatever you feel will help you on the exam. I suggest you handwrite the sheet, because
simply preparing such a sheet will force you to go over all the material of the semester, and writing concepts and equations by hand
will help you to remember them better.
- The exam will be held in room Science A210 on Monday, December 19, 2022, at 10:15am
- You may work on the exam for the full 120 minutes.
- The exam is worth 200 points and is about half cumulative. It is structured as follows:
- Part I: Images and Wave Optics (Chapters 34-36 [not Ch37]) 100 points
- True/False (6 questions, 12 points)
- Multiple Choice (6 questions, 20 points). Two of these are 4 pts, the rest 3 pts.
- Free response problems (7 questions, 58 points)
- Ray diagram, 10 points
- Part II: Cumulative (Chapters 22-36 [not Ch37]) 100 points
