Final Exam - Physics 203
The final exam will be given as follows:
- You may prepare an 8-½ × 11 sheet to use during the exam.
You may write, laserprint, photocopy, or paste anything you want on both sides of the sheet, whatever
you feel will help you on the exam. I suggest you handwrite the sheet, because simply preparing such
a sheet will force you to go over all the material of the semester, and writing concepts and equations
by hand will help you to remember them better.
- The exam will be held in room SCI D101 on
Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at 5:00pm
- You may work on the exam for the full 120 minutes.
- The exam is worth 200 points and is about 66% cumulative. It is structured as follows:
- Part I: Thermodynamics (Chapters 16-18) 68 points
- Problems (3 questions, 33 points)
- True/False (7 questions, 14 points)
- Multiple Choice (7 questions, 21 points)
- Part II: Cumulative (Chapters 1-18) 132 points
Multiple-choice questions (35 questions, about 4 points each) that
cover only those topics previously encountered in homework assignments and midterm
exams. This section of the exam is a standardized exam consisting of questions that are
being field tested for inclusion in a nationally normed exam produced by the College Board.
