Aquatic classes offered for adults

The Special Needs Aquatic Program (SNAP) at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point will offer classes for adults this winter and spring.

The classes are designed for adults with arthritis, older adults looking for a low impact workout or adults with special needs. Two sessions (15 classes) will be offered January 22 � March 15 and March 26 � May 17. Each session costs $44.

The 45-minute classes are held twice a week on Monday and Thursday in the therapeutic pool in the UWSP Health Enhancement Center, located adjacent to the Quandt Fieldhouse on Fourth Avenue. The Basic Aquatic Exercise class will be held at 8:50 a.m. The Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Program classes will be held at 10:15 a.m., 4:15 and 5:10 p.m.
