Minneapolis rockers, "Gold Standard" to perform at UW-Stevens Point
The eight-member Gold Standard band will perform at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Tuesday, February 5.
Sponsored by Centertainment Productions, the event will be held in The Encore in the Dreyfus University Center at 8 p.m. Admission is $4 or free to UWSP students with a valid ID.
A Minneapolis-based band, Gold Standard has been performing since 2004. Rock music with a brass section and saxophone, Gold Standard has borrowed many musical genres including 70s progressive rock, the Beatles, Chicago, the Average White Band, and others. Lead guitarist/vocalist Dylan Nau and vocalist/trombonist Aaron Stoehr are the original members having worked together musically since 1997. Saxophonist Andrew Schwandt is the latest addition to the band.
