MEDIA ADVISORY: CNR climate change colloquium continues on April 25

"WARNING: Warming an Inconvenient Truth Slideshow"

Who: Jeannine Richards Aldo Leopold Foundation, Baraboo

What: Jeannine Richards has been with the Aldo Leopold Foundation since 2003. She began her time there as an ecological restoration intern, working on the land stewardship team to complete invasive species removal and prescribed burning and prairie restoration projects on the Leopold Memorial Reserve. Her position now is the foundation�s projects coordinator. She was recently trained personally by Al Gore to present on global climate chance.

Her presentation will focus on the ability to change the composition of the earth�s atmosphere using current technology. She will explain what climate change means for Wisconsin and how small efforts can make a huge difference.

Richards graduated from Boston University with a bachelor�s degree in conservation biology and environmental policy. She worked for a semester as a teaching assistant for Boston University�s tropical ecology program in Ecuador and spent a summer researching forest health at Fordham University�s research station in New York.
