Vocalists
to perform in a student recital at UWSPVocalists Caitlin Last and Megan Younkle will perform in a student recital at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Thursday, April 5.
The concert will be held at 6 p.m. in Room 221 of the Noel Fine Arts Center. The recital is open to the public free of charge.
Last will perform "The Brentano Songs, Op.68" by Richard Strauss, "ll fervido desiderio Malinconia" and "Ninfa gentile" by Vincenzo Bellini, Henry Purcell�s "Sweeter than Roses" and "The Girl in 14G" by Jeanine Tesori.
Younkle will be performing "Mein Herr Marquis" by Johann Strauss, "O del mio amato ben" and "Sento nel core" by Stefano Donaudy, "Green," Fleur des bles" and "Nuit des toiles" by Claude Debussy and "Half-Minute Songs" by Carrie Jacobs Bond. Last and Younkle will also perform three duets, "Pleurs dors," "Pusiquisibas" and "Tarantelle" by Gabriel Faure.
Last, daughter of Susan and Raymond Last, Port Washington, is a junior majoring in general and choral music education with a minor in Spanish. She is secretary of the Collegiate Music Educators National Conference (CMENC), involved in Spanish Club and is the UWSP library building manager.
Younkle, daughter of Kim and Robert Younkle, New Franken, is a junior, majoring in choral and general music education. She is vice president of CMENC and the secretary for the American Choral Director�s Association (ACDA).
