UWSP Symphony Orchestra to perform on campus

The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Symphony Orchestra will perform its second concert of the semester on Wednesday, March 5.

The concert, part of the Music Department Scholarship Series, will be held at 7:30 p.m. in Michelsen Hall at the Noel Fine Arts Center. Tickets are $6 for the public, $3 for senior citizens, $2 for youth and free the day of the concert for students with a UWSP ID. Tickets are available at University Information and Tickets in the Dreyfus University Center Concourse, or by calling (715) 346-4100 or (800) 838-3378. Visa, MasterCard or Discover are accepted. Tickets may also be purchased at the door if seats are available.

Conducted by Patrick Miles, professor of music, the program will include "Overture to the Barber of Seville" by Giacchino Rossini, Aaron Copland’s "Four Dance Episodes" from the 1942 ballet "Rodeo," and "Concerto for Oboe and Orchestra" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart featuring soloist Stacy Berk, assistant professor of music.
