Open to the public free of charge

UWSP faculty members to perform on campus

Music faculty members at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point will present a recital to the public on Thursday, February 21.

The recital will be held at 7:30 p.m. in Michelsen Hall at the Noel Fine Arts Center and is open to the public free of charge.

The concert will feature Brian Martz, associate professor of music, performing on trombone and euphonium. He will be accompanied by Mara Beckman on piano.

The program will include "Capriccio for Trombone and Tape" by Charles Eakin, "Four Songs on Poems by Mathilde Wesendonk" by Richard Wagner and arranged for euphonium and piano by Brian Martz, and "Sonata for Trombone and Piano" by Carol Ann Giffels.

Martz and other faculty members, Mathew Buchman on piano, Paul Doebler on flute and David Story on bass, will perform two jazz tunes Martz composed.
