A training workshop on business taxes will be offered in Wausau by the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, in conjunction with The Chamber � Wausau Region, the Internal Revenue Service, and the Wisconsin Department of Commerce.

The Business Tax Workshop will be held Wednesday, March 21, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Topics covered include federal and state taxes, including payroll, unemployment compensation and sales taxes; how to use withholding tables; deposit requirements; a preview on how to file your business taxes online; basic tax topics like "Employee" vs. "Independent Contractor" status; and a question and answer segment.

All sessions will be held at Cedar Creek Mall in the Community Room. Cost is $25 per person.

Instructors are Carol Scott, Wisconsin Department of Revenue, and Larry Mynsberge, Internal Revenue Service.
