Laser light shows to be presented at UWSP planetarium
Laser lights shows set to rock music will be presented at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Allen F. Blocher Planetarium on Wednesday through Saturday, February 27-March 1 and Wednesday through Saturday, March 5-8.
Shows will be held each night at 8, 9 and 10 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for students and $3 for students with UWSP ID. Tickets are available at the door beginning at 7:30 p.m. and are only valid that day. The shows are not recommended for children under 12.
The laser shows are a fundraiser for the planetarium and are presented using SkyLase from Audio Visual Imagineering, Inc., a leader in laser engineering and custom laser show production.
The schedule is as follows:
Wednesday, February 27 – Pink Floyd – Dark Side of the Moon
Thursday, February 28 – Laser Metallica
Friday, February 29 – Laser Zeppelin
Saturday, March 1 – Pink Floyd – The Wall
Wednesday, March 5 – Pink Floyd – The Wall
Thursday, March 6 – Laser X – The Alternative Experience (Stabbing Westward, Smashing Pumpkins, Foo Fighters, Alice in Chains, White Zombie and more)
Friday, March 7 – Laser Vinyl – Classic Rock (AC/DC, Queen, ELP, Kiss, Aerosmith, Van Halen, Boston, Journey and more)
March 8 – Saturday – Pink Floyd – Dark Side of the Moon
The Allen F. Blocher Planetarium is located on the second floor of the UWSP Science Building at the corner of Reserve Street and Fourth Avenue. Parking is available in Lot X near the building entrance and is free in all university lots after 7 p.m.
