High level industry people in the forest products industry will have the opportunity to earn a Leadership Certificate through the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

Designed to assess specific strengths, develop core leadership qualities and help put them into practice, participants will be exposed to business professionals and educational leaders with expertise in one-on-one, group and global leadership from the perspective of the Forest Products Industry. Participants will receive individual consultation to analyze areas of focus during the training.

Training sessions are held once a month from April to June and August to December at Treehaven in Tomahawk. There are no sessions in July.

Topics covered include Self Leadership, Group Leadership and Global Leadership, with specific focus on leadership styles, coaching, effective writing skills, the effect of federal and state regulations, economic evaluation and strategic planning.
