Enhancing negotiation skills the topic of two workshops

Effective preparation for a negotiation and negotiation strategies are the focus of two upcoming workshops offered in Wausau through Continuing Education at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

"Win-Win Negotiations – Beginning" and "Win-Win Negotiations – Advanced," both one-day programs sponsored by the Small Business Development Center at UWSP, will be held at the new Center for Leadership Excellence & Economic Development located at 200 Washington Street, Suite 100, Wausau.

"Win-Win Negotiations – Beginning" will be offered March 13 from 3 – 9 p.m. and "Win-Win Negotiations – Advanced" will be offered May 29 from 3 – 9 p.m. Topics covered include Enhancing Negotiation Skills for Decision Making, Problem-Solving, Dispute Resolution, Effective Preparation for a Negotiation using the "Win/Win" Approach, Employing Negotiation Strategies for Acceptable Solutions and Relationship Strengthening Strategies, Conducting Negotiations and Successful Communication During the Negotiation Process.

The instructor for both workshops is Becky Stewart-Gross, a national leading negotiations trainer.
