Described as a "glitzy, inventive, eclectic, fun and metropolitan evening," Arts Bash 2008 will be held at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Saturday, Feb. 2.

The event will be held at the Noel Fine Arts Center from 7 to 10:30 p.m., featuring student performances, an art sale, wearable sculpture fashion show and demonstrations. The primary fundraiser for the departments of theatre and dance and art and design, Arts Bash has raised more than $100,000 for student scholarships and programs since its inception in 2003.

A sale of donated artworks by professional artists, faculty, alumni and current students from the Department of Art and Design will begin at 7 p.m., followed by a wearable sculpture fashion show and student performances. Entertainment by DJ Wayne "Edwards" Semmerling will begin at 9:30 p.m. with dancing until 10:30 p.m.

Hors d�oeuvres and desserts will be served and a cash bar will be available as well as complimentary beer and wine. Guests are encouraged to wear expressive attire.

All proceeds from the event support students through the two departments, and the Arts Bash Scholarship Endowment Fund.
