Theater class offered for youth

Is your six to 11 year-old yearning for the spotlight? Has your living room often become the stage for their latest show? Give them the opportunity to learn about play production in a 10-week class offered by Arts and Culture Outreach (formerly the Conservatory for Creative Expression) at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

"Kidstage!" will be offered on the Saturdays of January 27, February 3, 10, 17, 24, March 3, 10, 31 and April 14 and 21. Sessions for ages six to eight will be from 9-10:30 a.m. and sessions for ages nine to 11 will be from 10:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. The last session will feature a class performance.

Instructor Elizabeth Brown will teach students fun acting techniques, simple set design and construction, stage movement, scene starters and all things theatrical. Students will cultivate their skills in imagination, self-expression, self-confidence and teamwork.

For information or registration, contact UWSP Continuing Education Customer Service at (715) 346-3838 or (800) 898-9472 or go to www.uwsp.edu/conted/aco. Visa or MasterCard are accepted.
