Basket weaving workshop offered at UWSP
A basket weaving workshop will be offered for teens and adults at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (UWSP) in March, sponsored by Arts and Culture Outreach through UWSP Continuing Education.
"Basket Weaving" will be held Saturday, March 8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and is intended for both beginner and intermediate participants. The workshop will teach the art of basket weaving and how to create a spring-themed, hand-crafted basket. Supplies and lunch are included.
Wendy Peterson, a UWSP alumna who is currently working on her masters degree at UWSP, is the instructor. She began basket weaving in 2000 and is a member of the Wolf River Basketry Guild.
Registration fee is $49. Space is limited for this class, so early registration is recommended.
