Welcome to Biodiversity and Conservation Biology!

I am pleased that you are joining our online learning community and hope you will enjoy the journey.

In this intensive one unit online course, we will cover a broad sweep of the major topics in biodiversity conservation. It will also provide you with the opportunity to immediately apply your new knowledge to curriculum development for your K-12 classroom. I hope you will leave this course with a new appreciation of the amazing biodiversity of life, an understanding of modern conservation biology and with new lesson plans to infuse biodiversity conservation topics into your teaching practice.

I look forward to “meeting” all of you in our virtual classroom. A bit of background information on my teaching and research is provided in the following pages.
