Old growth, new growth.

Looking at this diorama you see a mature forest dominated by red oak and white pine. Young trees and sedges fill in where old trees have fallen. This forest opening provides food and cover for many animals including turkeys.  Wolves, martens, and bobcats hunt these opening in search of prey
