The counselors and classroom assistants for the Exploring Your Talents and TV/Film Production precollege programs act as leaders to the students enrolled in the program.  They are hired several months before the camp begins and they're aware of their responsibilities. 

In an interview with the Program Coordinator and Administrative Coordinator, the staff is hired based on their sensitivity to students of many different cultural backgrounds, their ability to give directions clearly and politely, their ability to follow directions and work cooperatively with a team, and their experience working with children, along with many other valuable requirements.
