02Sep, 2007: Nina and Jackie went to Nuremberg for a day trip, and it turns out that John and Michael also went there. John, Michael and Richard went to Cologne, only to find out that there was a conference there. Almost all rooms were taken. So John and Michael hopped a train to Nuremberg, while Richard stayed in Cologne. The Felt family stayed in Munich. We found a nice kids play area near the hotel. Elizabeth made friends with a German lady who was visiting Munich for a week with her 7-year-old boy. Contrary to all I've read about Germans keeping strangers at a safe distance, this lady invited our whole family to dinner three nights in a row. The boys have had a great time with their new friend Felix.
03Sep, 2007: Everyone returned to town with stories to tell of the things they had seen. Richard liked the museum in Cologne. All who went to Nuremberg liked the scenery and history.
