Connecting to Remote Lab

 

  1. The first time you click the Logon to a Remote Computer link from the Remote Lab web page you will need to install the VMware View Client.  If you are using Firefox you will have multiple options based on if you have a 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit operating system.  To find out what bit operating system you have, click here.
    • Choose the View Client option, NOT the View Client with Local Mode.
    • Download and Install the View Client.
    • Following the wizard onscreen:
      •  Click Next twice
      • Accept the License Agreement
      • Click Next 5 times
      • Click Install
      • Click Finish after the installation
      • Click Yes to restart the computer
  2. The webpage will verify that the View Client is installed and started.
  3. Log in to the prompt on screen.
  4. Click the UWSP Remote Lab.  Choose how you want the remote lab to be displayed.  Click Connect.

  5. Choose Log Off when you are done using the Remote Lab computer.

 

*NOTE: Optionally you can open up the VMware View Client from your computer and type vmview1.uwsp.edu in the Connection Server field.  Clicking Options and checking "Always connect to this server at startup", will allow this connection to be saved.
