UWSP Information Security

Welcome to the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point's resource for information security. It is the mission of the Information Security Office to support the goals of the University by assuring the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of all information we use to do university business.

In order to accomplish this mission, the Information Security Office's work involves:

  • Establishing coordination and encouraging cooperation within the university towards greater computer security.
  • Investigating computer system intrusions.
  • Increasing awareness of information security responsibilities.

Sensitive Data Protection Initiative (SDPI)

The Sensitive Data Protection Initiative (SDPI) is a campus-wide project to protect sensitive data. The overall objective is to reduce or eliminate the use of sensitive data across campus, thereby protecting the privacy of sensitive data and reducing the risk of identity theft.
