Week 11 – Monday, April 16 or Wednesday, April 18

TOPIC: Developing Healthy Sexual Practices , presented by guest speaker

Enduring Understanding: A healthy sexual identity includes developing sexual practices that express who you are authentically.  In addition, mature practices can show respect for yourself and consenting partner(s), protect you and others (physically  and emotionally) and help you grow your inner spirit by connecting and sharing intimate thoughts and feelings.  How you feel about your self and your connection with others emotionally, physically, sexually can be continually improved by learning about yourself, your body, your values, and the people you choose to connect with.   Learning about your sexual self is an extension of developing a positive self concept.

  1. Take Quiz in D2L!  The quiz is open from Monday, April 16 at 12:01 a.m. until Sunday, April 22 at 11:59 p.m.  This quiz will cover Chapter 7 of the textbook--Relationships and Sexuality.

  3. Continue working towards your behavior change objectives.  Make sure they are measurable and you are collecting evidence;  artifacts, testimony, entries in journals describing your actions and feelings, pictures, measurements, etc.
  4. You can still submit all assignments that are LATE until Monday, May 7, at NOON for HALF the points, except TESTWELL (which closed in February).
  5. Next week is the last week of class.  The rest of the semester you should be actively working through your behavior change collecting evidence that you are intentionally trying to DO (or NOT DO) something differently to positively affect your life.  Evidence can be collected in many ways.  Think creatively and be sure to log progress.
