Week 4 - Monday, February 20 or Wednesday, February 22

THE PHYSICAL DIMENSION Continued

TOPIC: Making healthy food choices

Enduring Understanding:  “You are what you eat” is not merely a cute quote.  Having a knowledge based understanding of this concept can help you fuel your body with the nutrients you need to do the things you want to do and accomplish what you want to accomplish in life.

Identifying how adopting healthy eating behaviors impacts your health is the goal.  How much energy do you want to have?  Knowing what to eat, developing a personal plan, and then doing it will move you closer to your dreams.  Understand your eating through personal dietary analysis, then adjust it to fuel your body to get what you want now and in the future.

What We’ll Cover In Class:

  • Foundation of a healthy diet
  • Strategies you use to help make healthy food choices
  • Addressing barriers to healthy decision making
