CSAC Advisory Committee

May 11, 2006

Room 239, University Center

Present:  Bushman, Cherney, Dieterich, Hess, Nelson, Paulson, Sanders, Swenson, Vogel, Zastrow

Excused:  Borski, Franzen, Menzel, Orlowski

Committee reports:

Cabinet:  Ross Cohen is the new president of SGA and gave a report.  Greg Diemer reported on his analysis of state tuition dollars.

Sargis:  Lin and Anne would like to stay on the committee for one more year and bring on one new member from CSAC.  The rest of the committee is made up of members from across campus.  The whole Sargis award process went smoothly.

Tours:  The tour of the Fine Arts Center went well.  There will be ideas available for new tours when the fall survey is done.

By-laws, grants:  No report.

Campus committees:  No new requests at the moment.

Brown bag lunches:  these went well during CSAC month/week.  The relaxation session was . . .  very relaxing.

Old business:  The “CATS” performance was not well attended but that did not dampen the enthusiasm of those who went on the trip.  CSAC did take a loss on the cost of the tickets and bus.  Before any future trips would be made, the committee would want to either pre-sell tickets or in some way try to ensure that we would break even.

New business:  The various committees were discussed and a representative of each committee from last year’s advisory committee explained some of the duties and responsibilities of each.  New members of the committee were asked for their preference in committee assignments.
