CSAC Meeting

GUEST SPEAKER Dave Eckholm appeared on behalf of Chancellor Bunnell, whose Regents’ Meeting had been moved up. Dave discussed the parking fee and the Chancellor’s Vision Statement.

 

COMMITTEES

·        SPECIAL EVENTS

o       STOMP trip has 11 openings (2 students have signed on).

o       Will make sure the Theatre/Dance and Percussion faculty & students know about it.

·        TOURS

o       CWES or Mead Wildlife Center a possibility.

o       Holiday of Lights Planetarium show will likely be offered again; Diane will check with Randy Olson

o       Anne & Chairs will look into getting a survey out.

 

·        CABINET

o       Greg Diemer and Larry Beck presented the results of the 2005 Facilities Survey.

o       Non-local printing contracts a concern for some.

o       Chancellor’s Visions document was discussed.

o       Commencement, Sunday, December 18, will consist of two ceremonies, 11:00AM and 1:00PM.

 

 

OLD BUSINESS

·        Relief-Recover-Rebuild bracelet break-even has been achieved. The remaining bracelets were given to the SPASH students involved in “Project Hope”, with the understanding that ALL money received from the bracelets will be given to the Red Cross

 

NEW BUSINESS

·        FDN Accounts

o       Classified Awards: Were actually started by the Union. Discussions are ongoing in Jerry Zastrow’s area.

o       Sargis: $160.76 available for award, $1501.50 (interest-making endowments) might be transferable for the award.

§         Will research fundraisers.

§         Is there/should there be an annual budget?

§         State Account funds may be an option.

·        Possible seminars were discussed briefly; a survey will likely be done.
