Debris flows at Wolf Mountain, near Jackson, Wyoming, occurred as a result of rapid snowmelt during the Springs of 1997 and 1998.  In both instances, debris flows were initiated within 10 days of the 6-day moving average of daily maximum temperature reaching the threshold value of 58^oF.
