Rosillo Peak Area

We followed a trail 3 km southward southward to a zone campsite. From there we ascended 3 km eastward to the summit of Rosillo Peak, then mapped geologic formation contacts on our return descent.

Advisory: STAY TOGETHER; keep visible! This is very dry and sunny desert, even in winter. Sun protection (sunscreen, long sleeves, hat, and eyeshades), leg protection (boots, socks, and gaiters), THREE liters of liquids, and both a radio and flashlight with spare batteries are required for EVERY person on each hike.
