FOREST MENSURATION

Forest mensuration is a subject which deals in its simplest form with forest measurements. Traditionally, these are measurements of trees and stands, or the primary wood products that are harvested from them, and the estimation of growth and yield. Nowadays, the role of forest measurements have become considerably expanded to include measurement associated with wildlife, watersheds, insects and disease, and many other facets of multiple use forestry.
