Welcome to the Work Control Center
The Work Control Center process all requests for:
- Maintenance and repair of buildings
- Maintenance of campus grounds
- Custodial services
- Event set-ups and small on-campus moves
The Work Control Center is your contact for all
Facilities-related services. The Work Control Center:
- acts as a liaison between the customer and appropriate
Facilities Services personnel for all custodial and
maintenance and repair services;
- assists building occupants in requesting various
Facilities services;
- coordinates and monitors the efficient delivery and
quality of our services;
- helps distinguish between funded maintenance and repair
work and unfunded proposed project activity and guides you
through the Project Request Form Process; and
- monitors customer satisfaction and responds to concerns
and issues.
The Work Control Center ensures that your work request gets the
fastest possible response, and it helps us track your needs and
allocate resources to respond to your needs.
Due to the large volume of calls received, we ask that you
call-in maintenance emergencies only. For maintenance emergencies
call 346-4219. All other requests should be submitted electronically
through the Internet Service Desk portal at
http://ais-srv2.uwsp.edu:82/.
Submitting your requests electronically provides the following
advantages:
- Faster Processing, often faster completion
- Electronic change of status notices
- Work history
- Better tracking of work and costs
*We first process requests according to campus
work order priorities and then on a
“first in, first out” basis.
Working with Facilities Services
Each college or department is encouraged to assign a
department coordinator—typically your Academic Program
Assistant—to act as the primary liaison with Facility
Services. Anyone from your college or department can be
identified as a coordinator, and you may have more than one
coordinator. In addition, we encourage each building on
campus to be assigned a building coordinator to work with
Facility Services staff directly to resolve facility-related
issues.
In some cases the coordinator processes departmental work
requests, initiates requests for routine maintenance,
monitors the status of requested work, and facilitates
activities such as planned utility outages. He or she is
trained to use our online work request system and is briefed
on how to work with Facilities Services in the most
efficient and effective manner.
