PRESIDENT: Casey Bahr
I am an Elementary Education major with an ESL minor. I am excited to
start my senior year (2011-2012) as President of StWEA. In the last four years I
have been a part of StWEA, I have met many wonderful people and experienced many
professional development opportunities. I look forward to carrying on the
tradition of providing valuable information and opportunities to future
educators inside our organization. I love helping people! If you ever have any
questions, comments or concerns don't hesitate to ask!
VICE PRESIDENT:
PRESIDENT ELECT: Courtney Hoffman
I will be a junior next year (2011-2012), I am an Early Childhood Education
major with a minor in ECSE, ESL, and Spanish. In my free time, I love to spend
time with family and friends. We love to be outdoors, play and watch sports, and
just have fun! I also love traveling to new places. I am excited for all the new
experiences next year brings, and to really grow as a teacher, while helping
others, as well. I look forward to inspire my students, as my teachers inspired
me, and to make a difference in their lives.
PUBLIC RELATIONS COORDINATOR: Allison Shadick
I will be a junior next year. My major is Exceptional Education and my minors are CD, EBD, and TESL. I enjoy playing and watching almost any sport. I love to spend time with my family and friends, and I am always willing to try new things. I am excited for next year because I love helping others and I think this is a good way to reach out to many people on campus and statewide. This will be my second year as the Public Relations Coordinator so I am excited to keep things flowing smoothly and also add new ideas!
SECRETARY: Alicia Oberg
I am going to be a junior with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in Special Education. In my free time, I like to be outdoors and be active, read a good book and hang out with my friends and family! I look forward to being a member of StWEA this year and getting to know the organization better as well as helping others get to know what StWEA is all about. I am passionate about becoming a teacher because I want to enrich lives and help children be all that they can be. I cant wait to start StWEA and make it a fun year!
INVOLVEMENT COORDINATOR: Lisa Blume
I
am going to be a senior majoring in Elementary and Special Education. I
love being outdoors and being active playing sports, especially volleyball.
I am really excited for the upcoming year as the Involvement Coordinator.
I look forward to enhancing my professional skills and becoming more involved
with the organization and community.
TREASURER: Elizabeth Obrien
I am going to be a senior pursuing a degree in Elementary Education with Mathematics and Coaching minors. I enjoy watching and talking about sports with others, especially my father. I love to spend time with my family and friends, and my summers are always dedicated to working and planning children's events at a campground near by hometown. I am looking forward to next year, informing other individuals about StWEA and encouraging them to become involved with this wonderful organization to help their professional development. I am excited to bring new ideas that will allow the future educators to become more knowledgeable. I am looking forward to a wonderful year with StWEA.
StWEA Advisors
Maggie Beeber-
graduated from UWSP with a major in Elementary
Education. She has been working as the School of Education Advising
Coordinator at UWSP for 20 years. She has also been an advisor for StWEA
for 19 of those years. She is originally from Tomahawk, WI.
Dr.
Kym Buchanan-teaches courses in educational psychology,
motivation, and technology. Kym's hometown is Portland, Oregon. He's
married, with two daughters.
